چکیده

The reports show that rutin has good potentials as an anticancer agent; however, poor bioavailability due to its low aqueous solubility. present study was aimed at preparing and evaluating physicochemical properties well the activities of nanocrystals (RNs). RNs were prepared via ultrasonication method. then physicochemically characterized by conventional techniques. cytotoxic effect free on HN5 head neck squamous carcinoma cell line assessed. HGF1-PI1 cells normal oral treated RNs. Cells also exposed determine their effects expression caspase-8, caspase-9, Bcl-2, Bax genes. have a mean particle size 75 ± 0.16 nm quasispherical morphology. Rutin displayed no significant 2000 μM. However, with IC50 30.51 μM 27.34 in 24 48 h incubation times, respectively ( id="M2"> p < 0.05 ). had 100 times more than cells. There h. Bcl-2 mRNA significantly decreased attendance compared control group id="M3"> increase Bax/Bcl-2 ratio revealed within Our results confirm is rutin. activation mitochondria-dependent apoptotic pathway occurred modulation expression. These suggest may be useful development cancer therapy protocol.

Density of mast-cells and Microvessels Density in head and neck cutaneous Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Background and Aim: Cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (CSCC) is the second most common skin cancer. Mast cells may play a role in tumor progression and metastasis by increasing angiogenesis. The aim of this study was to investigate the role of mast cells by increasing angiogenesis in invasion of head and neck cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma. Materials and Methods: In this cross-sectional stud...

Evaluation of Tissue Expression and Salivary Levels of HER2/neu in Patients with Head and Neck Squamous cell Carcinoma

Introduction: HER2/neu, a member of the epidermal growth factor receptor family, has been shown to be over-expressed in some tumors. The purpose of this study was to determine the salivary levels and tissue expression of HER2/neu in patients with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) and their correlation with clinicopathologic parameters.   Materials and Methods: Enzyme-linked immu...

Epithelial-Mesenchymal Transition and Inflammation in Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) represents a large majority of cancers arising from the head and neck, especially the oral cavity. Despite advances in therapy, the five-year survival rate remains low due to the number of patients presenting advanced stages of the disease. The role of epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) in tumorigenesis in HNSCC remains unexplored. The current ...

Establishment and Characterization of a Novel Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma Cell Line USC-HN1

BACKGROUND Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) is an aggressive and lethal malignancy. Publically available cell lines are mostly of lingual origin, or have not been carefully characterized. Detailed characterization of novel HNSCC cell lines is needed in order to provide researchers a concrete keystone on which to build their investigations. METHODS The USC-HN1 cell line was establ...
